Episode VII: The Force Awakens
Episode VII: The Force Awakens
I got tickets for the 16th, who else is going to make the same mistake they made with Episode I?

Re: Episode VII: The Force Awakens
I actually saw Episode 1 twice in the cinema when it came out
... In Spanish.
Because I was in Spain.
I understood almost nothing.
Fact: Jar-Jar is every bit as annoying in Spanish as he is In French or English.

No.
Re: Episode VII: The Force Awakens
Hopefully I'll have my passport and residence permit back in time to go to Hong Kong and see it.
Still pissed that Jar-Jar won't be in it. I loved that guy.

I promised by BFF that I'd wait to see it until I was visiting him for the holiday.

I decided to give the mobile Fandango app a try last night. Bought tickets without a hitch.

I still haven't seen either of the Kung-Fu Panda movies in English for similar reasons.Oxymoron wrote:I actually saw Episode 1 twice in the cinema when it came out

I'm seeing it on the 19th at 9am.
Damn small town theaters that don't have assigned seating. **shakes fist**

Re: Episode VII: The Force Awakens
I have seen it. TIE fighters have ejector seats, Stormtrooper armour isn't NBC sealed and TEO ruined me.
The movie is also bitchin cool. Looks good, sounds good, lots of laughs, a few tears, about three end-of-TESB level reveals.

I may see it again in 2D. The 3D was well-done for 3D but it still looked murky.

Re: Episode VII: The Force Awakens
I don't think you can get me to watch any film in 3D. Maybe if you put a gun to my head.
Maybe

Re: Episode VII: The Force Awakens
The Force Awakens is more exciting than the most solid and entertaining of the PT films, The Revenge of the Sith, but the latter film did not loot from the ANH and RotJ as heavily as TFA cockily did.
I was glad that the Stormtroopers were performers and stunt men in costume (the CGI Clonetroopers up close even at the time strained SOD more than the B1 Battledroids - CGI depicting mechanical and cartoon stuff ages better than CGI depicting people). You could sense the troopers' moods and personalities beneath their blank identikit armour.

Re: Episode VII: The Force Awakens
Overall, a much better movie than the PT, but that was worse than watching Optimus die when I was 6.

Tbh the music for TFA wasn't very memorable.

Re: Episode VII: The Force Awakens
I liked the Rey melody and it generated better ambience than in the PT, like the ANH's soundtrack, but there was no strident tune like the Maul duel, Vader march, Palpatine dirge, and Battle droid army march.
