they just dumbed all the tech down so you don't need specialists as much :smug:

No they dumbed it down for all the consumer grade roles that emerged in the late 90s and early 2000

The stuff that's generally covered in technical schools now

A my university the it standard outside pure coding is fucking laughable bullshit but ten years ago it ws intense hard work for google stuff

I meant that as an indicator of education quality, not content

Even seven or eight ears ago the database curriculum was solid

These days it's GOOD MORNING KIDS DO YOU KNOW TRIVIA

To be honest, i used the term"computer science", but that's a translation mistake more than anything else. Here everything is lumped under the same term : "Informatique".

But, honestly ? I have the diploma, I don't even know how to programm in fucking C. I have basis, right. But they are so frail as to be laughable.

For crying out loud, my "Big Project", which counted for a really important part of my final exams, was three or five fucking PHP pages doing a static SQL request on a (preexisting) Oracle database, putting the result in a 2-dimensional array, doing some sorts and displaying the result in HTML in the navigator ! And it took me one month and a half to put that together !

(on the other hand, I now have good basis on the working principles behind an associative database, so...)

Well, that's what I get for working in a company that has nothing to do with my field of study I guess ?

Ha ha, fatty nerd moment.
The Voyage Home was filmed in large measure in the San Francisco Bay area in California. For example, the scene where Kirk just about gets hit by a car was filmed at the corner of Kearney, Pacific Avenue, and Columbus in downtown San Francisco [34].
As it turns out that corner is right near the hotel I picked for my trip to SFC in July. Completely unintentional.

Fuck

I can see exactly where all the additions and modifications were made to this constitution

They are so poorly spelled ("honourary") and formatted

I wonder if fixing improper spelling and punctuation requires separate amendments or if I can just do them and hope nobody bitches about it.

As far as I know there's a 50/50 chance of me getting dumped in the next few minutes. I don't think I'm going to take it well.

So we're starting to look at houses in case the feds don't appeal. If I buy the hobby farm I've always wanted, I think I'm going back to my Grizzly Adams beard.

No overalls though.
