I won the Trek 1E regionals yesterday. In five rounds, I went 5-0 and managed to beat the QLD champion team.

I'm now the highest rated person in Australia, and the sixteenth in the world.

Yep, that's the one. Now I have a sweet bye into round two of the continentals. Essentially I miss round one on the day, and get credited for a full win and maximum differential.

Holy shit look at the wiki entry

Which sets? Some are worth money. Others less so.

So Premiere, Alternate Universe, Q Continuum, First Contact, Deep Space Nine and The Dominion?

If so, what would it cost to post that down this way?

A trip to the dump and whatever it costs to ship a flooded mess of paper to AU.

don't worry, it's retail

if you're doing your job properly you'll eventually piss off everyone

I tell all my new staff that I don't mind (initially) how long it takes them, as long as they do it right.

Ignore all the trash talk against customer service; it may not be glamorous, but you meet a lot of people. This is life experience, good or bad.

it's less trash talk and more of a warning

you can do everything right and your customer will still be irate and angry

It is definitely prone to a wide array of experiences.

For example one subset of my customers are Birthday Moms, as we host kids birthday parties at our facility for what is actually a very reasonable price. Some birthday moms bring you homemade cupcakes and full sized pizzas or sandwich trays because they don't want to carry the leftovers to their cars had a lot of fun. Some customers will continue yelling even when you are agreeing with them and solving their problem because they are so caught up in yelling they don't realize they are getting their way and the only thing preventing them from getting what they want *NOW* is because the manager on duty can't just walk away in the middle of her goddamn tirade to go implement the solution because that would just cause her to act like an even bigger bitch.

In terms of how obnoxious it can be, momrage makes nerdrage pale by comparison, although it is slightly less pathetic.

Then of course you have your people that won't be happy no matter what. Especially when you come to one of America's smallest accredited zoos on a Tuesday afternoon after 2:00pm because its half price admission and expect fucking San Diego with every animal on the planet.

i used to work at ross dress for less

it's close to walmart in terms of pure assholish ghetto customers

occasionally you'd have a homeless guy wander in and try to play with the phone's pa system or try to pull a fast one on you at the register

then they'd be angry and try to pressure you when you tell them "sorry, I can't just make up a receipt so you can "return" that filthy jacket you clearly pulled out of a dumpster. no, i wouldn't do that for donald trump either, if you were donald trump you wouldn't be shopping here."
