Being that desperate for a fix for what ails you? Alcohol is a commonly accepted analog.

He can't drink it without being in pain, from what I recall. I am the same. I had a wine cooler a few weeks ago (YOU A PUSSY! DRINK LIGHT BEER!) and it hurt me an hour or so later.

Shit. Not being able to drink alcohol to pull a hazy curtain over the more painful parts of existence must suck. What's that leave you with, pot or Tylenol PM?

I'd rather smoke pot than drink liquor, but weed's not really legal and I don't have a medical 'get out of jail' card.

I find that using a depressor makes things worse. Then again, I have impulse control. Tylenol is not going to help an intestinal flare up. What helps is an immunosuppressant and surgery, both of which I have experienced. The former did not help one bit. The surgery I had last June has given me nearly a year free of pain. And that's only if I stay away from certain foods: eggs, lettuce, broccoli, salads, peanuts, peanut butter, pizza, and fast food.

So low fat, low fiber, right? Meat and potatoes? Maybe rice and beans? Hey, it could be worse, it sounds like you can at least eat tacos and have pad thai. Not minimizing what you've had to endure, just looking for a ray of sunshine.

Meat is fine, but I do have to stay away from fiber or I won't be out of the batroom /Jersey accent.

Alcohol makes me drunk like instantly because of my bypass and therefore is not fun. Weed I do for medical reasons and its helping.

Petrobras was a state monopoly and Brasilia still controls 54% of its stock, so...state sanctioned dissident murder anyone? That sucks. If I remember right, this ain't the first time there's been state sanctioned murder in Brazil (or everywhere ELSE in the world, for that matter). Guess I'll keep buying Sunoco in the vain hope their tanks aren't filled with Brazilian or Venezuelan oil.

Watch your back, Los.

Oh I'm sure I'm fine, I don't have any real connection to anything going on in Brazil. But thanks. Hopefully their families get some justice but, well, you know. South America is what it is.
