A pretty good PM and politician if I'm honest, Harper is really only a good politician.

Canada wasn't a part of it. We didn't exist until 1867 and the forces involved were British. Claiming it as a Canadian victory is pretty dishonest.

random lament :

You know there may be something wrong with yourself if the first thing you do in the morning, even before coming out of the bed, is starting up your phone to browse the web for a bit.

i use my phone for very limited web browsing at most

mainly because trying to type on a touch-screen for any length of time sucks ass

Indeed, phones suck ass for web browsing. This only add to the wrongness of the situation, IMHO.

Especially when I've got my PC just right next to the bed

For context, this is my phone : [1] [2] [3]

Its ergonomics are awful - like for example, the keyboard take the two-third of the screen (which is already tiny as you can see) and the cursor is a broken piece of shit as far as selecting bits of text goes.

Expires header should now be correctly set so browser caching should work better.

text-boxes are still too huge to fit entirely into the screen :(

Alright, excessive heat warning with 115*F/46*C index today. Even better the winds are heading offshore, which means no lake-effect cooling to abate it. I predict the Promontory Point fireworks display will be chock full of medical personnel carting out all those collapsing from heat stroke and dehydration.

i check twitter and texts first thing after i wake up

i don't see the problem

i barely use the actual computer anymore, i'd say 80-90 percent of my browsing and general computer biz is on my iphone

lately i've had more time to sit around at home and chill so i've gone back to using my huge monitor and comfy chair

still sit in front of my computer and tweet from my phone tho...

It's not an iPhone, but I could never efficiently select text and copy and paste on my iPod touch. It was even worse trying to fix some spelling mistakes. The cursor would always go to the beginning or end of the misspelled word. the larger screen on my Android device makes it far easier. I haven't had a problem yet. Perhaps Apple should sue?

the screen size has nothing to do with it

it's the mechanism that makes it slow and nasty to work with
