And then when the first autistic kids who also have polio show up it will be too tragic to say "we told ya so!"

So my son is entering that pre-teen moody bit and we had a discussion today that turned into why he wants to be in the military and what they did o break me and PTSD. So I wound up reliving a bunch of shit and we all started bawling.

Good times.

Yeah, it's just hard to get over the cultural thing sometimes.

"Hurr, huur, I man, I no talk."

Small wonder Grandpa died 30 years early.

lol, honestly it would have been better if I didn't have them. It's not fair to them, ya know? But gotta make do.

I talked to him about how your taught to kill and that they don't teach you to turn it off. So my automatic thought when I' annoyed or things go bad is to do what I was taught, not exactly appropriate when an old man is counting pennies at the cashier.

Obviously I've not done it and I have the skills to maintain control but it's a tough thing to live with.

Told him all about my buddies that died and how it was basically for fuck all.

He looked pretty horrified.

My kids got a shit deal being born to me and their mother. But you're right; we're making do.

Your posts reminded me of this.

D.I. Fitch: Swofford!
Anthony 'Swoff' Swofford: Sir, yes, sir!
D.I. Fitch: You the maggot whose father served in Vietnam?
Anthony 'Swoff' Swofford: Sir, yes, sir!
D.I. Fitch: Outstanding! Did he have the balls to die there?
Anthony 'Swoff' Swofford: Sir, no, sir!
D.I. Fitch: Too fucking bad! He ever talk about it?
Anthony 'Swoff' Swofford: Sir, only once, sir!
D.I. Fitch: Good! Then he wasn't lying!
