The Testingtard's Lament: Boo-Hoo-in' Revolution

I'm very dissapointed that you'd disclose the contents of our phone conversations, Tim.
We'll discuss this tomorrow.

So I just saw the Trailers for that new Star Wars: 1313 game from E3. I'm trying not to get overexcited based on a teaser, but it looks awesome.

I'm thinking of delivering pizzas for a couple weekends. I have a reliable car and pretty good geographic knowledge of most of the city. Should I go for it?

Your insurance probably will not cover you if you use your personal car for business
Re: The Testingtard's Lament: Boo-Hoo-in' Revolution
See. I consider it a good policy to not let work people on my Facebook page. For precisely this reason.
Re: The Testingtard's Lament: Boo-Hoo-in' Revolution
I'm not too worried about the insurance. I don't know about gas, but if they don't pay for it I already get a good discount on it because of our large diesel purchases.
Re: The Testingtard's Lament: Boo-Hoo-in' Revolution
When I worked in that one transport company, it was very much frowned upon for employees to use the trucks' diesel pumps to fill the tanks of their personal cars (read : they could have been fired and prosecuted over it, except when it was the Boss doing it...).
Edit : but on the other hand it was a company owned by the Local Government, not a family business...

No.

dunno, phant
i did deliveries for a chinese restaurant a while back and there's more expenses than just gas since you're putting more wear on your car in less time and you are at higher risk of an accident than just normal driving
plus here it's illegal to drive a car that isn't insured

Re: The Testingtard's Lament: Boo-Hoo-in' Revolution
Car is insured and it'll only be a couple weekends, maybe 3.
Rabid: we purchase all our fuel from one company, from one card lock fuel station, pay the fuel bill through our company, then reimburse our company for personal kilometres. Which is just accounting anyway. We get Premium gas for less than Regular at normal gas stations, because we buy so much diesel. Not that it matters, since I don't drive anything that needs more octane than Regular…

His point is that the car may *not* be insured if you use it specifically for business/work, as personal driver insurance may not cover that kind of thing.
So unless you know you're covered for that, it would be worth it to use their free support line or chat or something to find out.

Sometimes ebay is fantastic.
A PO 3.5 scope for 60$?
Yes, yes I will.

I just paid for a bunch of new used stuff by selling old stuff I don't need anymore, nothing out of pocket. It comes in handy at times.Aaron wrote:Sometimes ebay is fantastic.

How's Moonridge these days? Still fucked?Darth Fanboy wrote:Hey don't get me wrong I love me some OC Zoo. But we have way more endangered and exotic species. Plus BABIEZ. I went to summer camp there for years and never got bored.
The Orange County Zoo, though is even cheaper and has trained bears, so...
Course they got the cutest pair of mountain lion cubs a couple of months ago they are the shit, and the renovations and new signage over the past few years glook really cool. I heard a rumor I have not been able to substantiate that the OC zoo was able to obtain a couple of weird animals via the county sheriff raiding someone who wasn't supposed to have them but it is all rumor.
I really hope OC Zoo keeps imporving and gets their nonprofit going again one day, their Zoo Director is really good at what he does and their keepers are great but they could use some better fundraising.

i'm about to hit 10,000 tweets on twitter
9,800+ are from September to today
i think i'm going to quit at 10k
it's getting awkward when people meet me and recognize me from twitter
'oh yeah you're that guy that tweets all the time'
fuck my life
EDIT: rough math suggests that is an average of 37 tweets a day from mid-september to today

I haven't been down there before and I haven't heard any news in some time. Basically they went from $1/month lease to something way more (like thousands) and they are trying to relocate but funding for the relocation and new buildings is tough. I heard they want to go for higher accreditation but I don't see that as being likely or necessary without a huge influx of money. But the people who have been there recently tell me it is still a nice experience and I would recommend it to anyone going to Big Bear.Akhlut wrote: How's Moonridge these days? Still fucked?
On the other hand the privatization proposals in Santa Ana are going forward somewhat well. I can't divulge too much of what I know but it's public knowledge that the city is seeking to trim the budget and our group is the most qualified to take over the day to day work.

I was scrolling through a page and accidentally read Richie Rich as Richie Reich, then proceeded to a double take. Now I wonder what that movie would be like.
