Over a month now, and still no word on the job. This is getting really infuriating.

Yes. I'm one of the last two people being considered for the job.

A week and a half ago I as told I'd find out in "a couple weeks".

In the hypotheses you don't win this one, if they are polite they'll call you anyway to inform you of their decision, right ? In this case no answer would mean they haven't made-up their mind yet.

If I may ask, what's the job ?

Definitely. The news will be public knowledge soon enough.

Debate coach for a school upstate. Better pay then I have now, in a program I'd be really happy to be a part of.

You know, it's great that the rain is replenishing the aquifers and refilling the lakes and reservoirs and what not, but 1) I could really do without having to drive home in the rain dealing with the fuckheads who don't get what that means every fucking day and 2) the humidity that results that is just fucking murder. I was putting up some rails in my garage for support hooks to hang lawn tools and whatnot from; it only took me about half an hour or so and by the end of that my shirt was soaked through. I had to change into clean clothes; it was so bad.

Judging by the fucking rain, he lives somewhere in Florida like me. Just a guess.

Yeah, grocery prices are going to fucking skyrocket due to the fact that corn is easily in half the shit at the grocery store.

Houston.

It rained again today, too. On the one hand, it was after I got of the freeway; on the other, there was still enough road that I had to deal with fuckheads who think that if there's heavy traffic in front of you and you're trying to maintain adequate space between you and said traffic then it must therefore be your fault that they're not able to go faster and that you must be tailgated.
