The Testingtard's Lament: Boo-Hoo-in' Revolution
Re: The Testingtard's Lament: Boo-Hoo-in' Revolution
do you speak in term of mentality, or in term of sub-forums ?
as far as sub-forums go, the current consensus seems to be that the userbase isn't big enough to warrant more of them, that we're just fine with the current organization : disposable threads in OT, non-disposable in NT, and if a thread in OT become non-disposable just move it to NT.

I think BO is just cranky that knubs is stealing his attempted niche.

He was the guy always posting in N&P about British youth?
Re: The Testingtard's Lament: Boo-Hoo-in' Revolution
One of them.
He's the guy who turns up in most movie threads and tries to "out movie" everyone. Shits me up the wall.

Hey, now. Stark has helped me tremendously in regards to actually having a thoughtful opinion on art.Gands wrote:I think BO is just cranky that knubs is stealing his attempted niche.
I'm not understanding the hostility toward BO.

I see you post about film/tv, and I can see that you care, as it comes through in what you write. BO perpetually looks like he's trying to be more popular by posting nothing and taking lots of words to do it.

Jesus, Orange, I feel kinda sorry for you so I'll say that rolling with the punches doesn't really work here because the punches are people accusing you of being incredibly boring, from the classy-ass putdowns of Los to Starky's direct assaults, and so the best response is to stop being boring.
EDIT: Los I have never appreciated paramedics fully until today and if we ever meet in real life I'd buy you dinner just for doing it. Thank you.
So did he turn out to be pieman after all?thejester wrote:he was here briefly till DF drove him off

Signed my paperwork yesterday. Assuming nothing comes up everything for the job is set but a place to stay.
And I found out that I'm part of the Faculty, and that my official title is "Lecturer".
I really need to stop all these good vents.

That's awesome!
So what exactly are you doing? (If you're not up for talking about it openly, I'll do that via PM)

Debate Coach for a University in Upstate New York. Basically I teach kids how to be right all the time (like me!), judge debates at tournaments, and then drive people around from the University to Tournaments and back.Gands wrote:That's awesome!

It's a job I really love, and I'm lucky/thrilled beyond belief to have it.
