Huh. When I first read Aaron's post, I thought it said he'd kick you in the lake, which I figured was just a Testing-ish way of saying he'd kick you in the nuts because Lake Michigan looks like a penis.
Turns out he actually was just threatening to kick you until you fell into a body of water.
Even though it's Aaron that said it, this actually goes against my preconceived notions about this place.
I guess seeing the recruitment commercials just made me think it would be a career where i'd be treated like a human being instead of a piece of shit like I am now. Soldiers get all kinds of respect in the U.S.
That's more of a career thing though. I already know what I want to do career wise, I'm going to be a teacher. I was mostly just considering the Army as an interim step to get more money for school, which, If I decide to become a college professor like i'm leaning towards, I'll need plenty of.
It seems like the army would give me the best chance to do something meaningful and important (Serve my country and all that) until I get my degree (which is going to take a LOOOOOOOOOONG time) and make some money while i'm at it.
I wouldn't necessarily agree with that, but I would definitely say that "nothing you would do in the army is guaranteed to be meaningful and important."
For example, the Army Corps of Engineers does a lot of really important work during disaster recovery.
i am amazed at zod's ability to be the worst poster in a gun control thread that involves sea skimmer posting "knives just as bad as guns" and an appearance by rouge

All I see is a bunch of shitposting by Lonestar. Cause hey why bother talking about the topic itself when we can just complain about what's being posted?
